Lead Software Engineer – Jaya Tech (2025 - present)

Supporting Syngenta Digital’s migration from microservices (Python, Java, Node, AWS Lambda) to a unified Ruby on Rails monolith. Embedded in the core monolith team, driving architecture alignment and Rails best practices.

Mentoring domain teams through onboarding and integration, while advocating for object-oriented design and SOLID principles.

Team Lead – Hatch (2023 - 2025)

Led the Messaging Team, responsible for all communications systems (SMS, MMS, email, voice). Worked closely with Product and Support to deliver features and resolve performance issues.

  • Rewrote legacy Go messaging system in Elixir, reducing p99 response from 5 minutes to 5 seconds.
  • Built modular support for multiple providers (Twilio, Sendgrid, LikeKit), unlocking AI voice and reducing vendor lock-in.
  • Led time-sensitive A2P 10DLC compliance project, enabling 100% customer compliance and improving onboarding speed by 30%.
  • Integrated Voice AI to automate phone responses and reduce manual handling.

  • Created a Rails gem for dynamic form generation across 4 monoliths, reducing change cycles and empowering non-devs.
  • Led COVID-era fax automation project to notify counties of test results, relieving overworked ops teams and meeting 24-hour legal deadlines.
  • Built secure API integrations using JWT, AWS Lambda, API Gateway. Integrated Auth0, Stripe, and DoseSpot.
